English: Inderite, Ulexite
Locality: US Borax Open Pit — U.S. Borax Mine (Pacific West Coast Borax; Pacific Coast Borax Co.; Boron Mine; U.S. Borax and Chemical Corp.; Kramer Mine; Baker Mine), Kramer Borate deposit, Boron, Kramer District, eastern Kern County (Mojave Desert), Southern California, U.S.
Inderite and Ulexite. R. Currier collection. When the Inderite crystals were found at Boron, they were white/transparent. After a few years in the air of the Los Angeles basin, they turn white on their surface. The white mineral can be removed by soaking them in water for a few minutes.
The scale at the bottom of the image is an inch with a rule at one cm.

Als die Inderitkristalle in Boron gefunden wurden, waren sie weiß und durchsichtig. Nach einigen Jahren an der Luft im Los Angeles Becken, laufen sie an der Oberfläche weiß an. Die weiße Anlauffarbe kann aber beseitigt werden, indem man das Mineral einige Minuten in Wasser taucht.
Länge des Vergleichsmaßstabs am unteren Bildrand beträgt 1 Zoll (= 2,54 cm) mit einer Einkerbung bei einem Zentimeter.
