Description
Português: Datada de 1785, é dedicada à santa padroeira dos negros e mulatos, e possui o desenho mais original de todas as igrejas barrocas mineiras. Em forma de elipse, o teto da nave se assemelha a uma quilha de navio. O interior impressiona pela acústica e pela clareza. Os altares laterais são dedicados a Santa Helena, Santa Efigênia, Santo Antônio da Núbia, Nossa Senhora Mãe dos Homens, Santo Elesbão e São Benedito. Alguns pesquisadores afirmam que as imagens de Santo Antônio e São Benedito foram feitas por Padre Félix, irmão mais velho de Aleijadinho.
