Description
English: View of Earth taken during ISS Expedition 58. Switzerland and many mountains there, Alps in snow. Northern parts of Italy and Allgäu (Germany) with Allgäu Alps, Forgensee and Lechtal region with shadow of mountain Säuling.
Deutsch: Viel Berge in den Alpen, unten auch der Schatten des Säuling, von der Internationalen Raumstation aus gesehen ein relativ kleiner Berg am verschneiten Forggensee (Allgäu, Bayern). Mit "Mouse-over"-Anmerkungsrähmchen und Click auf das Foto, sowie bei "+" ein weiteres Hineinzoomen ins Foto sind auch Täler wie das Inntal bei Scuol (Engadin) oder das Etschtal bei Meran gut zu erkennen, da Schnee liegt und die Schatten der Berge die Konturen der bewaldeten Täler verstärken. Reschenpass mit Umgebung. Ganz unten am Bildrand des Fotos die Sarntaler Alpen und das Passeiertal. Im Dunst das Mittelmeer bzw. wolkenbedeckt die Poebene (Italien) und nicht ganz so deutlich zu sehen die entfernteren Alpengipfel im Westen der Schweiz.
