| Description |
English: Houses on the Beach, Norman's Bay Looking from the beach at low tide to the beach front at Norman's Bay. Two houses of interest here, second from the left is The Tower House which was built on the site of Martello Tower number 54, and second from the right is Beach Crest, where the house itself was constructed in 1939 using bricks from the demolished Martello Tower but was then requisitioned by the War Office who added a two storey block containing a searchlight. The two buildings were returned to the owner after the war and are now a single residence again. |
