| Description |
Nederlands: Vijf tot tien procent van de zwangere vrouwen krijgt te maken met zwangerschapsvergiftiging. Een heftige aandoening die ook ver na je zwangerschap nog voor problemen kan zorgen. Onderzoek laat steeds duidelijker zien dat deze vrouwen niet volledig herstellen. Hierdoor hebben ze een 8x grotere kans op een hartinfarct en hebben ze vaker geheugen- en concentratieproblemen en depressie. Arts-onderzoeker Chahinda Ghossein-Doha (Maastricht UMC+) onderzoekt hoe we deze vrouwen beter kunnen helpen. Sophie Ousri is zelf net moeder geworden en gaat met ons mee naar Chahinda.
