Description
English: * Listed in De Ricci, Seymour, Census of Medieval and Renaissance Manuscripts in the United States and Canada. New York. N.Y.: H.W. Wilson, 1935; and Supplement, New York, N.Y.: Bibliographical Society of America, 1962.
  • Ownership : Owned (16th c.) by the "Conventus Ratisbonensis Carmelitarum Discalceatorum" (f.1). Joseph Barrois collection; sold 1849 to Earl of Ashburnham; his sale to Maggs, 1901. Given by Mrs. F. F. Thompson, 1923.
  • 1 large miniature of crucifixion; many illuminated initials; border decoration include animal figures.
  • Large initials (5-line, 7-line etc.) in many colors -- green, blue, orange, gold -- on elaborate multi-colored fields. Designs extend into border. Rubrics, 1-, 2- and 3-line red and blue initials with opposing color penwork, daubs of red as placemarkers.

  • 29 long lines (32 in calendar), ruled in pen, catchwords visible.
