Ελληνικά: Το Έμβλημα του Ελληνικού Γενικού Επιτελείου Εθνικής Άμυνας (Φ. 494/116623/Σ. 2865/6-9-1971 Δγη ΓΕΕΘΑ/1η ΜΕΟ/Δ1/2)
“ αποτελείται από κόκκινη περικεφαλαία, μπλε άγκυρα και ασημένιες πτέρυγες που συμβόλιζαν, η περικεφαλαία το Στρατό Ξηράς, η άγκυρα το Πολεμικό Ναυτικό και οι πτέρυγες την Πολεμική Αεροπορία. Στο δε έμβλημα αναγράφεται το ρητό :αιέν αριστεύειν και υπείροχον έμμεναι άλλων, μηδέ γένος πατέρων αισχυνέμεν ... (Ομήρου Ιλιάς, Ζ 208-209) ”
