Description
Deutsch: Denkmalgeschützte St. Johannis Kirche in Halberstadt, zwischen Westendorf und Franziskanerstraße. Neben den romanischen und gotischen Kirchen Halberstadts zeichnet sich die Johanniskirche als einzige „echte“ protestantische Kirche durch ihren Fachwerkbau aus. Sie wurde von 1646 bis 1648 mit Hilfe der schwedischen Krone erbaut. Die Kirche zählt zu den größten Fachwerkkirchen Deutschlands. Abseits von der Kirche steht der Glockenturm mit der Johannis-Glocke von 1497.
