Description
English: HMS Spitfire at Cape Fiolent 1856. Detail clipping from frontispiece of Maritime and Coast Sketches of the Black Sea, Sea of Azoff &c by Oswald W. Brierly. The lithograph on this page depicts the southwestern point of the Crimean Peninsula, called Cape Fiolente. Just off of the coast is the H.M. Surveying Ship Spitfire. Lithograph: probably Robert Carrick. Ship: certainly T. G. Dutton.
