Description |
Svenska: Cylindrisk burk av grönt glas med skuldra och utkragad kant upptill. I burken en mindre mängd fast substans. Över öppningen är ett papper fastbundet, med numera nästan helt utplånad text, enl. bilaga:"Arsenicum tagen utur Baron Ture Bielkes mage 23/3 1792". Snöret fäst med ett rött lacksigill med instämplat: "W A". På burkens sida en pappersetikett, fäst med rött lack med otydlig trekronorsstämpel, bläckpåskrift:"1 uns 7 drackmer // 14 ort" (115 g). När Bielke fick reda på att han var misstänkt för mordet på Gustav III och skulle förhöras valde han istället att svälja arsenik. Han dog några timmar senare efter fruktansvärda plågor. Magens innehåll med arsenik togs tillvara som bevis för att han var skyldig då kroppen obducerades. Den döda Bielke dömdes till att förlora sitt adliga namn och att grävas ned vid stadens avrättningsplats i Skärmarbrink i södra Stockholm. |
