Summary[edit]
DescriptionFormer Our Lady, Queen of the Snows RC Church, Milford, Michigan (rectory) - 20201214.jpg |
English: As seen in Milford, Michigan in December 2020. The stone rectory immediately to the west of what was once Our Lady, Queen of the Snows Catholic Church was built in 1929, a couple of decades after the church itself, to house the living facilities of its head priest. The former rectory was a converted Greek Revival residence facing Hickory Street on the north side of the complex, where it still stands. Architecturally speaking, the rectory harmonizes with the church in building material (locally sourced fieldstone) but is much simpler in style, and was designed by a different architect (Arthur DesRosiers). The parish moved in 1966 to a new location on the eastern outskirts of town, and the former rectory is now used as an assisted living facility. |
