العربية: مساكن الرعاية الدائمة أو مرافق الرعاية الدائمة هي مرافق سكنية للأفراد ذوي الإعاقات. فهذه المرافق تقدم الإشراف أوالمساعدة في أنشطة الحياة اليومية وتنسيق الخدمات بواسطة مقدمي رعاية صحية خارجيين، ومراقبة أنشطة المقيمين لحماية صحتهم وسلامتهم ورفاهيتهم.
Deutsch: Als betreutes Wohnen werden Wohnformen bezeichnet, in denen Menschen Unterstützung finden, die je nach Lebenssituation unterschiedliche Formen der Hilfe benötigen. Das sind beispielsweise alte, psychisch kranke bzw. seelisch, geistig und/oder körperlich behinderte Menschen, Obdachlose oder Jugendliche. Die Betreuung wird durch Sozialarbeiter bzw. Psychologen, Erzieher, Therapeuten oder Pflegekräfte gewährleistet. In verschiedenen Bundesländern wird die unterstützende Person auch als Sozialbeistand bezeichnet. Die Betreuung soll bei gleichzeitiger Unterstützung zur Bewältigung der individuellen Probleme die größtmögliche Autonomie gewährleisten. Die rechtliche Betreuung ist beim "Betreuten Wohnen" nicht miteingeschlossen.
English: An assisted living residence or assisted living facility (ALF) is a housing facility for people with disabilities. These facilities provide supervision or assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs); coordination of services by outside health care providers; and monitoring of resident activities to help to ensure their health, safety, and well-being.

Simple English: An Assisted living residence is a popular housing alternative to a nursing home for senior citizens. These homes give help or supervision with daily living activities. They also allow services by outside health care providers. They check residents and resident activities to make sure health, safety and well being are maintained. Assistance may include the giving or supervision of medicine or personal care services. "The philosophy of assisted living is to treat all residents with dignity; to give privacy and to encourage independence." The gradual shift to assisted living began between 1979 and 1985 in the United States.
