Description
Deutsch: Blühende Hecke, ein Saumbiotop, welches an einem Feldweg über dem Tal der Großen Lauter bei Dapfen liegt. Wahrscheinlich wuchs das Biotop auf einem uralten Steinriegel hoch. Die umliegende Feldfläche dient hier als Wiese zur Heugewinnung. Das Gehölz diente früher durch regelmäßiges Zurückschneiden auch als wertvolles Brennholz für den Bauernhof. Heute sind solche Strauchgewächse wichtige Lebensräume für wärmeliebendes Kleingetier. Das hier sichtbare Biotop ist naturschutzgesetzlich geschützt.

English: hedge in springtime, in the valley oft he „Große Lauter“, above Dapfen (Gomaringen), Swabian Alb. Probably the hedge developed on stringed stones. When well attended, peasants gained firewood for their homes and field erosion was diminished. The grassland served for haymaking. Hedges are considered important biotopes, where poikilotherm animals, like all small reptiles, find their habitats.
