Experimental video - walkthrough the cobblestone passageway in the stand of Regattastrecke Oberschleißheim near Munich, Germany

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Experimental video - walkthrough the cobblestone passageway in the stand of Regattastrecke Oberschleißheim near Munich, Germany. First, the photographer/filmer walks barefoot through the main passageway of the stand which is paved with cobblestones. Then, he arrives at an area where the pavement is covered with plants, as the whole stand is almost a lost place. Lastly, the camera goes up into the horiziontal (normal) perspective and shows the main passageway on the rear of the building in both directions from the photographer who is almost - lengthwise - at the center of the building. Thereby, towards the end of the video, the wooden truss structure can be seen making up a part of the construction of the building. These massive wooden trusses/beams make up a significant part of the structure carrying the gigantic roof of the adjacent grandstand of the rowing venue. As they were built in about 1971/72 (for the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich), time has taken its toll and thus the authorities had the red steel columns added which are visible at the end of the video below the wooden beams, in order to further stabilize the roof.
