Description
English: Summary of the evolution of the area and shape of crystalline silicon wafers for solar cell fabrication. The approximate year when the wafer model was adopted by several producers is indicated. Multicrystalline wafers, always square, followed a similar evolution in their size. Since 2006, wafer models are labeled with M or G for pseudo-square or full-square shapes, and a number.
