Summary[edit]

Description
English: From the video description:

The Energy Department was hard at work in 2015, and we’ve got the numbers to prove it.

This year we were involved in two major international agreements: the historic nuclear deal that blocks Iran’s four pathways to a nuclear bomb, and the COP21 agreement -- a major milestone in the fight against climate change.

Our carbon capture and storage projects removed their 10 millionth metric ton of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, the equivalent of taking 2 million passenger vehicles off the road for an entire year.

At the National Labs, employees were awarded 33 of the 100 prestigious R&D 100 awards. And the National Science Bowl saw 14,000 of the best and brightest young minds competing to be named this year’s champion.

This year marked some historic milestones as well. We sold the land that caused the Teapot Dome scandal 93 years ago, marked the 20-year anniversary of the stockpile stewardship program, and agreed on three sites for the Manhattan Project National Historic Park. And earlier this month, we announced the first U.S. production in nearly 30 years of a specialized fuel to power future deep space missions.
