Description
English: The dry dock of San Fernando (Buenos Aires), the first of its kind in Argentina. It was built by Ingeneer Luis Huergo and inaugurated on 9 January, 1876. The leeve was 85 mts long by 4 mts wide. In the image can also be seen the "Galileo" ship while being repaired.
Español: Dique seco de San Fernando (Buenos Aires), el primero de su clase en Argentina. Construído por el ingeniero Luis Huergo, se inauguró el 9 de enero de 1876. La longitud del dique era de 85 metros de largo por 18 de ancho. El navío de la fotografía es el vapor "Galileo" y se aprecia el trabajo de calafateado en su casco.
