English: On right of page: “New York May 20th 1833 Esteemed Friend We this day [received?] your favor of the 14th inst informing us of the scrabble for Waterloo Bank Stock we of course could not expect any when applicants were so numerous nearer home, but are equally indebted to you as though our application had been successfull. We would decline purchasing at 10 pr ct prefering to put our surplus funds in Sugar & Molasses to the Stock at that price. We will draw on yours in favour of Robt White Esqr cashier of Manhattan [Bank?] for the $200 Dolls & ever with esteem Yours Edwrd G Faile & Co” On left of page:
