Summary[edit]
DescriptionDisused airfield, near Bognor Regis - geograph.org.uk - 138642.jpg |
English: Disused airfield, near Bognor Regis. The 2nd airfield site near Bognor Regis - the WW2 ALG was built on Morrells Farm, west of the town, at MR SU 912006 with 2 grass runways in an X-shape - this 2nd strip was taken over in the 1960s by LEC Refridgeration who used it as a private strip until its closure in 1994, although powered gliders are based there. The LEC factory is the other side of the railway line. This view looks south west from the edge of the runway towards the hangarage for the gliders. |
