Hilfarth, Horst 1974 –57 min Aufnahme: Gabriel Simons; Kommentar: Ulrich Tapper In den beiden Korbflechterorten Hilfarth und Horst, nordwestlich von Jülich gelegen, hat die Herstellung von Weißkorbware eine lange Tradition. Aus geschälten, "weißen" Weiden werden Reisekörbe, Kinderschlafkörbe, Nähkorbe, Vasen bis hin zum heute nicht mehr gebräuchlichen Elberfelder Fleischkorb geflochten. Der Film zeigt auch die Modernisierung, die im Korbflechterhandwerk Einzug gehalten hat: Als Arbeitsmaterial dient immer häufiger Peddigrohr, und der Handel bedient sich importierter Ware aus dem europäischen Ausland und aus Asien. |
