Description

Svenska: Fäste av förgyllt silver av efterkarolinsk typ. Fastlödda på parerplåtarnas ut- och insidor på båda sidor om krysset en oval, emaljerad, krönt silverplatta med spegelmonogram G (Gustav III). På insidan av främre parerstången kontrollstämplar: G2 (år 1789) samt två otydliga stämplar.

Klinga rak, tvåeggad med breddad, stark del, s k colichemarde-klinga med etsad och förgylld ornering mot blånerad botten, ¨på utsidan två rankornament i rokoko, däremellan trofégrupp, på inidan tre rankornament i rokoko.

Värjan skänkt av Gustav III till sedermera konteramiralen m m Arvid Virgin (1757-1840, Elg.tab.23 sid. 813), kapten och chef på galären Östergötland under kriget mot Ryssland 1788-1790. Virgin erhöll 1790-05-20 en hedersvärja av Gustav III. Han ägde 1803-1806 Svinesund i Konungssunds sn, som han med Kungl. Maj:ts tillstånd fick kalla Svensksund. Gåva av LRK av sonen, kammarherren m m Arvid Virgin (1798-1874, elg.tab.34 sid. 816), Alingsås, enl. prot. 1870-11-07.
