אומנות ניפוח הזכוכית התגלתה לראשונה במזרח הרחוק, בתחום הממלכה הפינקית העתיקה. אומנות זו של ייצור גופי תאורה דקורטיביים המיוצרים מצינורות זכוכית פיירקס בניפוח ידני-אומנותי עברה מדור לדור, מאב לבן. וכיום סוד ניפוח הזכוכית ידוע למעטים בלבד.
במפעל של חברת יהלום תאורה עובדים מיטב האומנים והמעצבים מהארץ ומחו"ל, המתמחים בעיצוב גופי תאורה מזכוכית בשלל צורות וצבעים, בטכניקה ייחודית שפותחה בהשראת אומני הזכוכית במילאנו שבאיטליה. טכניקה היוצרת מרקמים מדהימים על פני הזכוכית והופכת כל גוף תאורה למיוחד במינו שאין שני לו.
