Chainsaw safety feature.

Chainsaw filler cap.

Chainsaws have tanks for fuel and chain lubricant. Spillage of either is potentially dangerous. The filler caps for the tanks must be leakproof and must not work loose while the saw is being used. This filler cap uses a bayonet-style fitting with a click-stop handle to lock the cap in place.

Filler caps using screw fittings are definitely know to be vulnerable to coming loose in the high vibration environment of the saw in use.
