Description
English: Pharyngeal pumping. A time-lapse differential interference contrast movie of pharyngeal pumping in wild-type and inx-20(ok681) L1 larvae. Note that the opening and closing of wild-type pm8 is coordinated, with a slight delay, to the opening and closing of pm7. In the inx-20(ok681) larva, the opening and closing of pm8 is not coordinated to the opening and closing of pm7, resulting in the regurgitation of bacteria from the intestine.
