Published on 30 Nov 2016 Text: This community woodland is located on the site of the former Coegnant Colliery and Maesteg Washery in the Upper Llynfi Valley, Bridgend The ‘Spirit of Llynfi Woodland’ is a flagship project for NRW funded by the Welsh Government Nature Fund and Ford Motor Company which is seeking to deliver multiple benefits both for the local community and the environment. Poem written by Dan Lock and recited by local historian and former colliery worker, Roy Meredith. |
