Summary[edit]
DescriptionCarnivorous Plant Time Lapse- Cape Sundew (Drosera Capensis) "eating" a Fruit Fly.webm |
English: A wonderfully-interesting carnivorous plant, the sticky "tentacles" attract and catch flies and other bugs.
Contact triggers a curling reaction, where the plant wraps up its prey and eventually digests and absorbs the victim's nutrients. This scene was about 4 hours in real-time, while I was working in the morning. Made with a Canon SX100IS + CHDK. Also see this 2010 version, using offspring of this plant. |
