Italiano: Grande caldaia a forma di campana rovesciata, interamente costruita in rame battuto, metallo che garantisce un’ottima conduzione del calore. Il tipo di caldaia a fuoco diretto, in uso dal medioevo al XX secolo, scomparve rapidamente con il progressivo passaggio alle caldaie a vapore: l'ultimo caseificio a usare caldaie a fuoco diretto si trovava a Legoreccio (RE) e fu chiuso intorno al 1975.
