Summary[edit]
| Description | "Cable salad", a colloquial term for a "mess of cables", often forming trip hazards, and sometimes fire hazards (Occupational Health and Safety). This picture was taken at Unit 2, Control/Relay Room, Point Tupper, Nova Scotia, Canada, April 1987. Evident is also the lack of firestops here. The cables are routed through a concrete floor, required to have a fire-resistance rating. This rating is ZERO due to the lack of a firestop, meaning the building in the state when the photograph was taken, was not in compliance with the local fire code or building code. |
