Description
English: Cabin Class passage on the 'Missanabie' (1914)

Interior of the passenger liner 'Missanabie' (1914) showing the passage on the port side of the Upper Promenade Deck (B Deck); a view looking forward. The panelling covering the engine and boiler casing is on the right side of the image, and the Cabin Class Lounge is in the distance.

The main Cabin Class rooms on the 'Missanabie' were designed by the architect George Abraham Crawley (1864-1926) and mostly decorated in the Georgian style. The work was carried out by Wylie & Lochhead Ltd, Glasgow. Prior to his work on the 'Missanabie', Crawley designed interiors for the sisterships ‘Empress of Asia’ (1913) and ‘Empress of Russia’ (1913).
