| Description |
English: Cabin Class Lounge on the 'Missanabie' (1914) Interior of the passenger liner 'Missanabie' (1914) showing the Cabin Class Lounge, on the Upper Promenade Deck (B Deck), a view from the starboard side, looking aft. The Cabin Class Drawing Room can be seen through the arch in the distance, a grand piano is visible on the right of the image. The main Cabin Class rooms on the 'Missanabie' were designed by the architect George Abraham Crawley (1864-1926) and mostly decorated in the Georgian style. The work was carried out by Wylie & Lochhead Ltd, Glasgow. Prior to his work on the 'Missanabie', Crawley designed interiors for the sisterships ‘Empress of Asia’ (1913) and ‘Empress of Russia’ (1913). |
