Description
English: Cabin Class Lounge on the 'Missanabie' (1914)

Interior of the passenger liner 'Missanabie' (1914) showing the Cabin Class Lounge, on the Upper Promenade Deck (B Deck). A view from the starboard side, looking forward, with stairs down to the Lower Promenade Deck in the foreground.

The main Cabin Class rooms on the 'Missanabie' were designed by the architect George Abraham Crawley (1864-1926) and mostly decorated in the Georgian style. The work was carried out by Wylie & Lochhead Ltd, Glasgow. Prior to his work on the 'Missanabie', Crawley designed interiors for the sisterships ‘Empress of Asia’ (1913) and ‘Empress of Russia’ (1913).
