For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild Spremberg 18.10.68 bi-Pr. Berlin: Bedeutsame Sitzung des Staatsrates zur weitern Entwicklung der sozialistischen Kultur am 18.10.68. Aufmerksam verfolgten die als Gäste an der 13. Sitzung des Staatsrates teilnehmenden Künstler, Schriftsteller, Kulturschaffende und Vertreter des öffentlichen Lebens die Diskussionsbeiträge namhafter Angehöriger der sozialisitschen Intelligenz, die aus ihrer Sicht, gestützt auf ihre Erfahrungen und getragen vonb ihrer Begeisterung für die Entwicklung einer sozialistischen Nationalkultur, ihre Gedanken darlegten, wie zum 20. Geburtstag der Republik die kultur zu noch höheren, vor aller Welt sichtbaren Erfolgen bei der Fromung sozialistischer Persönlichkeiten geführt werden kann. Auf unserem Foto vorn, v.r.n.l. Bruno Apitz, Walter Heynowski, Gerhard Scheumann, Michael Tschesno-Hell.
