For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Windschutzstreifen durch Sachsen-Anhalt und Brandenburg. Die von der Landesleitung des Kulturbundes im Tiergarten von Halle eingerichtete Sonderschau "Wir bauen uns eine Heimat" berichtet u.a. über die Windschutzstreifen, die zur Zeit in der DDR angelegt werden. Die Regierung hat allein für Anpflanzungen in den Schwerpunkten Grossottersleben und Langenweddigen im Kreise Wanzleben (Sachsen-Anhalt) eine Viertelmillion DM zur Verfügung gestellt. UBz: In einigen Jahren werden besonders Sachsen-Anhalt und Brandenburg mit einem Netz von Windschutzhecken zur Verbesserung der Bodenkultur, wie sie der Fünfjahresplan vorsieht, durchzogen sein.
