English: Bench-end (circa 1550) in st Andrew's Church, Sutcombe, Devon, showing the arms of Prideaux (Argent, a chevron sable in chief a label of three points gules with mullet for difference) impaling Hatch (Gules, two demi-lions passant guardant in pale or), symbolising the second marriage (post 1523) of Humphry Prideaux (1487-1550) of Thuborough in the parish of Sutcombe, to Edith (or Elizabeth) Hatch (d.1571), 5th daughter of William Hatch of Aller in the parish of South Molton, Devon. (Source: Vivian, Lt.Col. J.L., (Ed.)
