Summary[edit]

Description
English: Barley Mow Passage It is amazing how many of these old, essentially medieval, passages still survive in the old City. The building on the right dates from around 1750; beyond it the Barley Mow pub from which the passage gets its name. There is another pub on the left hand corner; doubtless these did a roaring trade in the heyday of the Smithfield Market which is across the road at the far end of the passage.
