  • Significance: On February 16, 1990, the Doty Road Bridge was determined to be eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places by the New Jersey Historic Preservation Officer (HPO) due to its association with the Phoenix Bridge Company. The bridge is one of fewer than six Phoenix Column trusses in New Jersey built by Dean and Westbrook, highway agents for the Phoenix Bridge Company (A.G. Lichtenstein & Associates, Inc. 1994).
