Summary[edit]
DescriptionAvocet on the Exe at Topsham - geograph.org.uk - 1182153.jpg |
English: Avocet on the Exe at Topsham Avocet (Recurvirostra avosetta), the reason for the RSPB organised cruise on the MV My Queen, which incidentally was one of the "Dunkirk Little Ships". The flock of avocet is at the waters edge on East Mud in front of the Goat walk. In the background is Topsham, the white rendered and slate roofed building being the Halyards development in Ferry Road. The beached elderly boat in the centre is actually on West Mud, on the opposite side of the Exe to Topsham Quay. |
