This study examines readiness measurement systems in both the U.S. and the Republic of China (ROC). The purpose of the study is to suggest a new readiness measurement system for the ROC. After the Introduction, the geopolitical position of the ROC is examined to determine likely missions for the ROC Armed Forces. Next, the current readiness measurement systems used in the U.S. and the ROC are surveyed. Chapter IV presents a proposed system for measuring readiness based on expert system technology. The final chapter presents conclusions and recommendations for a readiness measurement system. Subjects: |
