Summary[edit]

Description
English: During the recording of Mr Charles the Hungarian, horn players Anneke Scott and Patrick Broderick made a journey to the Musical Instrument Collection of the University of Edinburgh to explore their Baroque horns. This special pair of instruments, made by Hofmaster (MIMEd 3296 & 3297), date from the time of the Mr Charles concert in 1742, recreated by the IBO and Peter Whelan on 'Mr Charles the Hungarian'. Hear how working with these instruments informed their approach to the album, which includes Handel's 'Water Music' as well as a duet for two horns by Mr Charles himself.
