English: Corrosion of aluminium, catalyzed by ca. 1 mg of mercury. At first, the metal reacts with the water, yielding hydrogen gas. After this, the metal is oxidised by oxygen from the air. Video in quick motion.
Deutsch: Korrosion von Aluminium, katalysiert durch ca. 1 mg Quecksilber. Zu Beginn reagiert das Metall mit dem Wasser unter Wasserstoffentwicklung. Danach erfolgt Oxidation durch den Luftsauerstoff. Aufnahme im Zeitraffer.
Svenska: Korrosion av aluminium, katalyserad av ca 1 mg kvicksilver. I början reagerar metallen med vattnet under vätgasutveckling. Därefter sker oxidation genom syrgasen i luften. Quick-motion-film. |
