Von der Qualität des Objektivs her würde ich diese 6x9-Kamera auf jeden Fall zur Klasse der Bessa mit dem Color-Skopar und der Ikonta mit dem Tessar zählen. Das Solinar ist zweifellos den erwähnten Vierlinsern ebenbürtig. Agfa setzte 1951 mit der Record III den Schlusspunkt unter die lange Reihe der "Billy"- und "Billy-Record"-Kameras. Ursprünglich – vor dem Krieg – sollte ja "Billy" durch den Gleichklang mit "billig" auf den günstigen Preis hinweisen. Da man aber mit der Zeit von diesem Image wegkommen wollte, leitete Agfa über "Billy Record" zum unverdächtigen "Record" über. Voigtländer machte es da mit der "Bessa" bessa ;-) Der Entfernungsmesser der Record III war nicht mit dem Objektiv verbunden (ungekuppelt). Mit dem Rädchen neben dem Zubehörschuh brachte man die Mischbilder im Sucher zur Deckung und übertrug dann den gefundenen Wert auf das Objektiv. Eine Doppelbelichtungssperre gab's noch dazu, ebenso ein Rad mit Tiefenschärfe-Skala. Der Synchro-Compur (mit Blitzanschluss) ging von 1 Sek. bis 1/500 Sekunde, die kleinste Blende war 32. Gebaut wurde dieses feine Gerät bis 1954, der Preis war 196,- DM. Hier die Record II. |
