English: Aft Boat Deck on the 'Missanabie' (1914)

Deck view on the passenger liner 'Missanabie' (1914) showing the starboard side of the Aft Boat Deck. A view looking forward towards a nest of three lifeboats under a pair of davits, with crew members at the mechanical apparatus used to move the boats outboard.

This is slewing gear of the Planet type manufactured by the Welin Davit & Engineering Co Ltd. The nested lifeboats were designed by Clemson & Murray and built by Gouk & Nesbit, Woodside Road, Glasgow.
