A view looking from the shore towards Shotley pier at low tide. The old 'Ganges' (1821) is anchored beyond the pier awaiting tow to Chatham to become the Boys Artificer Estabishment. The starboard side stern of 'Boscawen III' (ex-'Minotaur') (1863), 'Ganges replacement, can be seen on the right.
