Description
English: “A HOLY TREE OF GREAT AGE.
The sacred trees are covered with shreds torn from the garments of those who visit them, by which they hope to establish a beneficient connection with the particular saints who visit and dwell in the branches. The author has also found these sacred trees in the deserts of Saharah, of Nubia and the Sudan.”
