Français : Une vue du désert d'un village traditionnel avec quinze huttes rondes aux toits de chaume et un bâtiment carré en terre battue. Les greniers soulevés par des pierres au-dessus du sol protègent le grain stocké de la vermine et des infiltrations d'eau. Une cabane ronde est dépourvue de toit et la charpente des branches de bois est visible. Sur la main gauche, un homme et une femme portant un pot sur la tête. A droite, un homme au chapeau peul sur un vélo et une femme sur le porte-bagages. Baobab et autres arbres. Au loin, deux femmes portent de la poterie sur la tête.
English: A view from the desert of a traditional village with fifteen round huts with thatched roofs and a square low mud building. Granaries lifted by stones above the ground are protecting the stored grain from vermin and water seepage. One round hut is lacking a roof and the framework of wood branches is visible. On the left hand a man and a woman carrying a pot on her head. On the right hand a man in a Fulani hat on a bicycle and a woman on the luggage rack. Baobab and other trees. In the distance two women are carrying pottery on the head.
Nederlands: Een uitzicht vanuit de woestijn op een inlands dorp met vijftien ronde hutten met rieten daken en een vierkant laag lemen gebouw. Graanschuren die met stenen boven de grond worden opgetild, beschermen het opgeslagen graan tegen ongedierte en vocht. Een ronde hut mist een dak en het geraamte van houten takken is zichtbaar. Aan de linkerhand een man en een vrouw met een pot op haar hoofd. Aan de rechterkant een man met een Fulani-hoed op een fiets en een vrouw op de bagagerek. Baobab en andere bomen. In de verte dragen twee vrouwen aardewerk op het hoofd.
