English: LGC-55 cation-II transgenic animal on a plate containing 30 mM tyramine. Recording began immediately after the animal was placed on the plate and ended shortly after paralysis. Movie was shot at 15 fps and sped up five times. Transgenic animals expressing the LGC-55 cation channel under control of the native promoter exhibit a hypercontracted neck and execute long forward runs before paralysis, behaviors opposite to that of the wild type. |
