Description
English: Platform at Woolwich Railway Station on the day of opening of the Elizabeth Line, 25 May, 2022. The copper-clad culumns on the platform refer to the military history of the site. The colours red, blue and yellow refer to the two regiments of the Royal Artillery, that was once based in the Royal Arsenal (and elsewhere in Woolwich). The colours red and blue on the alternating columns refer to the Royal Engineers, who were also based in Woolwich.
