„Deutschland. Lichtbilder und Schattenrisse einer Reise“

des Schriftstellers und Arbeiterdichters Max Barthel. Die nicht signierte Illustration auf der unpaginierten Seite 95 von Barthels Roman zeigt im Vordergrund eine junge Frau als eine von vielen, die in einer mit gleichmäßigen Reihen von eng mit rotierenden Schleifrädern bestandenen Industriehalle arbeiten. Die Frau sitzt hinter einer Kiste gleichförmiger Trinkgläser, von denen sie ohne Schutzkleidung mit beiden Händen eines vor ihrem Oberkörper festhält, um dem Glas den vorgegebenen, immer gleichen Schliff zu geben ...
