Description
Македонски: Експеримент кој го демонстрира големото количество енергија што се ослободува при согорување етанол. Смеса од алкохолни (во случајов, етанолни) пари и воздух се пали во големо пластично шише со тесен отвор, при што се забележува голем син пламен и карактеристичен звук. Ова е пример за егзотермна реакција и е показател за големото количество енергија што се ослободува при согорување на алкохолите. Равенката на реакцијата на горење на етанол е следна:
C2H5OH(g) + 3O2(g) = 2CO2(g) + 3H2O(g).
Осмислено и изведено од Марина Стојановска, Миха Буклески и Владимир Петрушевски, Институт за хемија, ПМФ, УКИМ, Скопје.
English: An experiment that demonstrates the large amount of energy released upon combustion of ethanol. A mixture of alcohol (in this case, ethanol) vapour and air in a large plastic bottle with a small neck is ignited, resulting in a large blue flame and a 'whoosh' sound. This is an example of exothermic reaction and demonstrates the large amount of energy released in the combustion of alcohols. The reaction of burning of ethanol is represented by the following chemical equation:
C2H5OH(g) + 3O2(g) = 2CO2(g) + 3H2O(g).

Română: Experiment ce demonstrează cantitatea mare de energie eliberată prin combustia etanolului. Un amestec de vapori de alcool (în acest caz, etanol) și aer într-o sticlă mare de plastic cu gâtul îngust este aprins, rezultând o flacără mare și albastră și un vuiet puternic. Acesta este un exemplu de reacție exotermă și demonstrează cantitatea mare de energie eliberată prin combustia alcoolilor. Reacția de ardere a etanolului este reprezentată de următoarea ecuație chimică:
C2H5OH(g) + 3O2(g) = 2CO2(g) + 3H2O(g).
