English: The experiment is an attractive variant of the well-known experiment of KMnO4 and glycerol self-combustion. The only difference in this case is that before adding glycerol, some zinc phosphide (Zn3P2) was homogenized with the powdered permanganate.
The basic chemical reaction goes according to the equation:
This is, so to say, a starter reaction that gives the necessary heat for the glycerol to catch fire. After that Zn3P2 (as a reducing agent) burns in the presence of the KMnO4 as an oxidizer. Try writing the equations, assuming that all products are oxides. Manganese gives MnO2. How does the chemical equation change if it is MnO instead of MnO2? The experiment was performed by Prof. PhD Miha Bukleski. The planning of the experiment also included the Prof. Emeritus PhD Vladimir Petruševski, Prof. PhD Marina Stojanovska and the student Mihail Trajkov, Department of Chemistry, FNSM, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, Skopje, Macedonia.Македонски: Експериментот е своевидна атрактивна варијанта на познатиот експеримент, самозапалива смеса од KMnO4 и глицерол. Разликата во овој случај е што кон перманганатот е додадено мало количество спрашен цинк фосфид (Zn3P2).

Ваквата реакција служи како своевидна „запалка“, а потоа цинк фосфидот (редукционо средство) гори во присуство на калиум перманганат (оксидационо средство). Обидете се да ја напишете равенката на оваа реакција, при претпоставка дека сите продукти се оксиди (се добива оксид на четиривалентен манган). Како би изгледала равенката на реакцијата, ако се добие двовалентен манган? Експериментот е изведен од проф. Миха Буклески. Во планирањето на опитот исто така биле вклучени пензионираниот проф. д-р Владимир Петрушевски, проф. д-р Марија Стојановска и студентот Михаил Трајков, Институт за хемија, ПМФ, УКИМ, Скопје, Македонија. |
